The Sancta Sanctorum of the temple

Built in the age of pharaoh Nectanebo, founder of the XXX Dynasty, last of the authentic egyptian dynasties, the actual temple of Isis is not in it’s original place. When the massive Aswan Dam was built, the temple would have been submerged, so it was moved to it’s actual location with UNESCO’s sponsorship.

The geography of Agilkia Island was completely modified, to make it look exactly like Philae, where the temple complex was originally standing.

This is the personal web site of Yvan Figueiras-Ruiz, writer –winner of the I and the VII International Prizes of Historical Divulgation Juan Antonio Cebrián, commercial diver, sonar technician in submarines, photographer and graphic designer, as well as being a collaborator of the Radio Nacional de España program Espacio en Blanco and a member of the remembered radio show Dimensión Límite or Ángulo 13.

The site is created as a photo portfolio, with special emphasis on pictures os my voyages, like the Pacific Ocean crossing that the crew of the  SV White Pigeon managed to accomplish in 2018, Easter Island, Cape Horn, Namibia, the Middle East o any other place on Earth that I’ve had the pleasure to travel to.

In the section dedicated to my literary work there a some synopsis of the books I’ve had published: Los Enigmas de la Isla de Pascua, R.M.S. Titanic, Jack el Destripador: caso abierto, Enigmas y Misterios de la Mar and the recent Operaciones Nucleares Submarinas. I don’t want to forget to mention one of my hobbies: home robotics.

In the blog there are also links to my participation in several media, specially radio and the videos that i upload to my YouTube channel.

Presented by the omnipresent David Cuevas, Dimension Limite’s team had the oportunity to get together during the II  Solidarity Symposium of the Mistery that took place in Pozuelo de Alarcon, where Mikel Navarro and Yvan Figueiras could record our last “Ciencia y Ficcion” (Science and Fiction).

Apart from David and the public, we’d also like to thank Manuel Carballal for his work in the “fish bowl”.

 

I Solidarity Conference on the Unusual – From Submarines to Abyssal Bugs

Within the framework of the I Solidarity Conference of the Unusual held in Logroño, Mikel Navarro and Yvan Figueiras were able to meet again for a new “Science and Fiction”, thanks to the Association of Social Integrators of La Rioja, LARIS, and the Ibercaja Center .

We thank the many people who attended and who contributed a huge amount of toys so that many boys and girls had better Christmas parties. As always, Dimension Limit and solidarity hand in hand.
